Yucatan is a precious place in Mexico. It has so much history and impressive culture. Nature, archaeological sites, cultural spots and awesome food are just a few things you can find in here.

The capital city is Merida but you can get to Cancun and rent a car or take a bus to Merida. It’s about 4 hours away and has several villages and nature reserves to visit. Here are 6 places you must see in Yucatan in your next trip to Mexico.

1. Rio Lagartos

2. Valladolid

Beautiful little town just in the middle between Cancun and Merida. This lovely town is the food capital of Yucatan, plus having two great archaeological sites at a short distance, Chichen Itza and Ek Balam.
