Two gems of the past in one tour. The first stop is La Antigua, where the first municipality of Mexico was founded upon the arrival of Hernán Cortez. Here, you also will get to know Del Rosario Hermitage, the first Catholic church in Mexico, and the remains of the first house of Cortez.

As this tour keeps going better, your next stop will be the legendary San Juan de Ulua Fort, one of the first buildings in Veracruz which served as protection from the scary pirates as goods including precious metals and raw materials were being shipped at all times. This fortress also was a prison and the temporary Presidential residence. Before going back to your hotel, you will enjoy a short walk throughout the city to visit major places of interest such as the Baluarte de Santiago building, the Esplanade, the Maritime Customs and the Los Portales area, take note as you might be wanting to visit them later on.
