This tour will lead you to two beautiful towns at the banks of the largest natural lake in Mexico. Chapala is the first stop, only 30 miles from Guadalajara. You can walk down the streets and buy some souvenirs; you can even take a boat ride to the Isla Escorpión to have a unique view of the Chapala Lake. In the island you can also eat charales, tiny dried fishes, or dry white fish with some lemon and salsa, a wonderful bite.
This tour continues towards Ajijic, where a gigantic tree welcomes the visitors. This picturesque town features cobblestoned streets, art galleries, and handicraft workshops where fabrics are made. In Ajijic you will have some time to have lunch, if you wish.
