Have an unforgettable 2-day tour to the precious little town of Chichicastenango and its famous market, beside taking a boat ride through the Lake Atitlán.
The trip starts heading to Chichicastenango. Once there, you’ll visit the famous market where you can buy handicrafts, wooden and ceramic pieces, and some of the gifts that can be offered at the Mayan altars in town.
Then you’ll visit the Church of Santo Tomás where the frontsteps are used as a Mayan altar. Afterwards, you’ll be taken to Panajachel for lunch by your own and spend the afternoon there.

In the morning you’ll have a private boat tour across the Lake Atitlán and visiting the village of Santiago de Atitlán. In this place you can watch the local saint sanctuary known as Maximon or Ri Laj Mam, which is visited by many ethnic groups. After lunch in Panajachel (not included), you can walk the Santander Street and the Handicraft’s Market, before the way back to Guatemala City.
