Have a 14-day trip through Mexico and visit some of the Colonial cities, including the ones in the Silver Route: Guanajuato, Queretaro, San Luis Potosi, Zacatecas, plus a special visit to Durango, Mazatlán, Guadalajara and Morelia.

Day 1: Welcome to Queretaro

After check-in at the hotel, you will have a trolley tour through downtown. You will visit the aqueduct, the Cross Convent, and the Campanas Hill.

Overnight.

Day 2: Queretaro-Guanajuato

After breakfast, you will head to Guanajuato and visit some of the highlights in town such as the Basilica Church, the Lucas Alaman House, the Hidalgo Market and the famous Callejón del Beso (Kiss’ Alley). In the night you will join a Callejoneada, the best way to discover the dozens of alleys and walk downtown along with music and fun!

Day 3: Guanajuato-Independence Route

The trip starts heading to Dolores Hidalgo, the very place where the Mexican Independence begun. In here you will also visit the Jose Alfredo Jimenez Museum, perhaps the most popular of the Mexican composers. Afterwards, the town of Atotonilco awaits with its beautiful church. Then, you will have a tour through San Miguel de Allende, one of the most beautiful colonial villages in the country.

Day 4: Guanajuato-San Luis Potosi

Trip to San Luis Potosi. Free afternoon.

Day 5: San Luis Potosi-Aguascalientes-Zacatecas

On your way to Zacatecas, you will visit Aguascalientes including a special visit to the Leal Vineyards and some of the best spots in town. Arriving to Zacatecas.

Day 6: Zacatecas

A tour to the Eden Mine, a 16th Century silver mine with several tunnels and even a train inside. Then, if the weather permits, you will take the aerial tramway to reach the Bufa Mountain to have a spectacular view of the city. During the afternoon you will board a trolley bus for a tour through downtown.

Day 7: Zacatecas-Sombrerete

Heading to Sombrerete, a Magic Town in the state of Zacatecas where you will visit the convent.

Day 8: Sombrerete-Durango

On your way to Durango, you will visit the Altavista Archaeological Site and pass through the Sierra de Organos with amazing rock formations which has been set for several films. Free afternoon.

Day 9: Durango-Bolson de Mapimi

This day you will have a special tour to a desert called Bolson de Mapimi or Silence Zone, creating impressive landscapes and part of a huge ecosystem. You will also visit the village of Union y Progreso.

Day 10: Durango-Mazatlán

After breakfast, you will head to Mazatlán. Free day to enjoy the beach.

Day 11: Mazatlán-Guadalajara

The day starts and so the trip to Guadalajara. In the night you will visit Tlaquepaque to enjoy the Mariachi experience.

Day 12: Guadalajara-Morelia

After breakfast, you will visit Tonalá for shopping crafts and then head to Morelia. Once there, you will have a city tour and watch the best places in town such as the new viewpoint, the aqueduct, the Tarascas Fountain, the Cathedral and the Clavijero Palace.

Day 13: Morelia

This day you can have one of the following tours: 1) a visit to the Tingambato ruins, the Tzararacua waterfall, the town of Uruapan and then the Eduardo Ruiz National Park. 2) a tour to the Paricutin Volcano which appeared the last century, and then a stop at the Eduardo Ruiz National Park to visit the water springs and the place called “the Devil’s Knee”.

Day 14: Returning Home

Free morning. You will be taken to the airport or bus station for your trip back home.
