Take a tour to the Highlands of the State of Veracruz, a completely different landscape. The first stop is in Orizaba, very close to the highest mountain in Mexico, the Pico de Orizaba. In here you’ll visit the Municipal Palace, the former Convent of San Felipe Neri which houses the Veracruz Art Museum.
Afterwards, you’ll visit Fortin de las Flores, a beautiful little town where you visit the Bonsai Museum. Finally, the city of Cordoba awaits you. The downtown offers the gorgeous Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception and a house full of history which had Maximilian of Habsburg, Benito Juarez, and Madero as guests. You’ll also visit San Francisco Toxpan, one of the first sugar mills in the country, beside the Ceballos Portal, the site where the Independence of Mexico ends.
