The best way to see the highlights of a city at your arrival, is a city tour. During this journey you can see the best spots in town where you can return again lately. The tour starts with a visit to the Obispado viewpoint in a hill close to the city’s downtown.
Afterwards, you’ll get to the Macroplaza, the Monterrey’s main square where the Palace of Government, the City Hall, and several museums are placed. Next to it is the Santa Lucia River Walk where you’ll hop on a boat through the canal until you reach the Fundidora, a former steel foundry which was the most important in Latin America during most of the 20th Century. The last place to visit is Barrio Antiguo, the oldest part of the town and with many historic houses.
