Reserve an 8-day trip to visit the majesty of Oaxaca and Chiapas. Watch the splendour of the Colonial city of Oaxaca, plus the best villages in the state and the archaeological sites of Mitla and Monte Albán. In Chiapas you will see the most famous sites like the Sumidero Canyon, the Palenque Mayan Ruins, and the Montebello Lagoons.

Day 1: Welcome

Reception at the Airport or the bus station. Free afternoon.


Day 2: Mitla

This day you will visit the impressive Tule Tree with the widest trunk in the world. Then you will continue to Mitla and have some time to walk the site. Afterwards, you will have a stop at a Mezcal Factory and finally, the impressive Petrified Waterfall of Hierve el Agua.

Day 3: Monte Alban

Another great day in Oaxaca. You will visit the most important Zapotec city, Monte Albán. Then you will have a stop at the former Monastery of Cuilapam de Guerrero, and the workshops of Arrazola, where the Alebrijes are made. At the end, you will visit San Bartolo Coyotepec to learn about the black clay pieces the artisans made.

Day 4: Heading to Tuxtla Gutiérrez

You will have a city tour through Oaxaca during the morning and a free afternoon. At 9:00 pm you will take a line bus to Tuxtla Gutierrez (travel by night).

Day 5: Sumidero Canyon

After some time for breakfast once in Tuxtla Gutierrez, the journey to the Sumidero Canyon starts. You will board a boat to discover the over 30 kilometers of the canyon. Afterwards, you will have a visit to the picturesque town of Chiapa de Corzo with its Morocco-style water pile in the main square. Overnight in San Cristóbal de las Casas.



Day 6: Montebello Lagoons

The day starts headint to El Chiflón, a group of cascades where the highest has over 100 meters. Then, the Montebello Lagoons National Park awaits in the border with Guatemala. The lagoons have beautiful blue and green tones,  perfect for your pictures!

Day 7: Palenque

Time to get up very early! At 5:00 am you will start your journey towards the Agua Azul Cascades with natural pools and beautiful blue tones. Then, you will be taken to Misol Ha, another waterfall that seems to be part of a movie. Finally, you will reach the Palenque Archaeological Site.

Day 10: Indigenous Communities

The day starts with a special visit to two indigenous towns with their very own traditions, Zinacantán and San Juan Chamula. Their religion is a fusion of the former Mayan gods with the Catholic elements. Be aware of the guide, since their lifestyle is a little bit different, you need to follow some advice. Afterwards, you will be taken to the Tuxtla Gutiérrez Airport.
