Book this tour from Boca del Rio and start a journey to the past. You’ll visit que Quiauixtlán archaeological site, former seat of the Totonac culture. The ruins are at the foot of the Metates Hill and houses a cemetery with tombs with pieces of jade.

Then, you’ll arrive to Cempoala, the second capital of the Totonac Empire and where you can walk to the Great Temple and the Circle of Gladiators, among other structures. During the summer season, there are Papantla Flyers ceremonies, where they dance and climb to 30-meter poles and tied their feet, to descend spinning and look like they are flying.

The last stop is in the first municipality in Mexico and also the first steps of Cortez. La Antigua houses the ruins of the first Catholic church in America’s Land, centennial trees and the very first home of Cortez itself.
