Book an amazing 10-day journey through the Mexican Jungle and visit some of the most important archaeological sites in the country. Starting with the El Tajin, you will be taken through Veracruz until reaching Chiapas, and then continue in the magical Merida to visit Chichen Itzá, Uxmal & Kabah.

Reception at the Poza Rica Airport or the Papantla Bus Station. After check-in, you will have a tour to El Tajin.

After breakfast, you will head to Tlacotalpan to visit a zoo, plus visiting two museums tributing Agustín Lara (a Mexican composer) and Salvador Ferrado.

On your way to Comalcalco you will see an enormous Olmec Head. Free afternoon.

A visit to the Comalcalco archaeological site with several buildings distributed in over 170 acres. Afterwards, you will head directly to the Palenque Mayan Ruins to see the majesty of the city once ruled by Pakal.

[expand title=”Day 5: Yaxchilán & Bonampak” tag=”h3″]

The day starts early and you will head towards the border with Guatemala. In Frontera Corozal you will board a boat to Yaxchilan, one of the most fascinate Mayan sites. After luch, you will be led to the ruins of Bonampak, another impressive Mayan site deep in the jungle.

At 7:00 am the bus line departs to Merida. Free afternoon.

Heading to the most famous Mayan ruins in the world, Chichen Itza. Enjoy the view and take hundreds of pictures of the impressive Kukulkan pyramid, the sacred cenote, the ball game, or the observatory called El Caracol.

At 9:00 am the group will depart to Uxmal, one of the most important Mayan sites in Yucatan and you can see the difference between styles from other ruins. Then, Kabah awaits with its sacred grounds and which was connected to Uxmal by the sac-bé or white path.

A perfect day to visit an Hacienda, a precious state from the henequen period. Watch the main building and the process taken to produce ropes, because during the 19th Century in Yucatan were made most of the ropes in the world. Afterwards you can hear some of the popular legends of the area, plus visiting a cenote.

After breakfast, you can be taken to the bus station or the airport for your returning trip.
