Southern Mexico City has lots of interesting places to visit. On this tour, the first stop is the National University Campus where murals of Siqueiros, Diego Rivera and others can be appreciated. The next stop is the Hidalgo Garden in the center of Coyoacan, a popular neighborhood for its ice-cream shops, bookstores and delicious Oaxacan tamales.
The tour will continue as you head to the Blue House, the Frida Kahlo Museum and where a significant part of her work is housed. As a final spot, you will head towards Xochimilco, one of the favorite places in Mexico City where you will have time to buy lunch and then embark on a typical trajinera, a type of vessel with a capacity for 10-15 people, that will take you through the different canals of the lake. On board you can buy snacks of typical food such as mole, mixiotes, quesadillas, barbecue, carnitas or tasty “micheladas”, while listening to Mexican mariachi, marimba or northern folk.
**This tour is available Tuesdays through Sundays.
